Our
Methodology

We evaluated and selected reliable humidity and temperature sensors such as the DHT22 and
AM2302 for their precision and availability.
01
Sensor Research and Selection
02
System Architecture Design
Using microcontrollers like Arduino or Raspberry Pi, we designed a modular system capable of
capturing, processing, and transmitting sensor data in real time.

03
Software Interface Development
A web dashboard and optional mobile app were developed using Python, JavaScript, and a lightweight backend to provide users with visual data representations, historical logs, and alert
configurations.
04
Controlled Testing
We installed and tested the prototype in a controlled vivarium setup, logging data over time to assess accuracy, responsiveness, and usability.

05
Feedback and Iteration
Input was collected from hobbyists and small animal caretakers to refine the user interface and
improve alert responsiveness and sensor protection.
